Maintenance of Artificial Grass
Artificial grass need regular care to maintain a good sense of use and experience and keep the lawn fresh and dry, extend its life circle. Remove any debris which falls onto the grass. A leaf rake or garden broom will remove debris like fallen leaves, branches and pet waste, help realign the fibers and will smooth it over. As the artificial grass is permeable, rain water will run through the backing and clean it at the same time.
Most artificial lawn sport fields are used outdoors, the artificial grass will be frozen caused by cold winter. Although the effect of freezing on artificial turf is no big, the fields becomes unusable when freezes. Generally, artificial turf is not affected by freezing because it melts and evaporates itself. But in order to make the soccer field ready to use, the frozen ice still need to be moved from the artificial turf.
To avoid damaging the synthetic turf when removing the ice, the most common method is to crush the ice on the artificial lawn with a heavy roller. Once crushed, it can be cleared straight from the field. If the sun is on and the ice is not too thick, it will melt itself quickly and not matter much.
If the ice is thick, chemicals are needed to help it melt. But any chemicals used on artificial turf will leave some residue, so sprinkle urea on it and the ice melts after half an hour. Melted ice should be cleaned with a washer, rubber cleaner, sweeper and other appropriate equipment. Do not leave heavy equipment on the field for long time to avoid damaging the artificial grass.
After the treatment of the above several ways, the ice on the artificial turf is indeed removed and the artificial turf is not damaged and maintained in good condition to providing a better basis for the development of various sports.
